Witnesses Sought: I-84 Collision Injures CT Man

Connecticut State Police are seeking witnesses to a crash between a tractor-trailer and a car that closed a lane of I-84 for several hours.

The collision took place in Hartford County around 11:30 a.m., Friday, March 10 on I-84 in Southington.

According to state police, a 2003 Acura RSX was traveling in the right lane of three when for an unknown reason the driver lost control of the vehicle and collided with the rear-end of an eastbound tractor-trailer.

The tractor-trailer driver was not injured; the driver of the Acura, identified as Jason Rustico, age 39, of Southington, suffered suspected serious injuries, state police said.

The case remains under investigation.
